The word of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three major themes about which I’m passionate. My goals are to be a great husband, father, and follower of Christ. I want to inspire others to read and love God’s word, but also to read it differently. I encourage you to make a commitment to read the Scriptures everyday. If we can keep appointments with friends and acquaintances, surely we can make time for God.
I am the Biblical Studies Coordinator at Vanguard College, Edmonton, Alberta (since 2008). My education includes a BTh from Vanguard (formerly Northwest Bible College), a MDiv from Taylor Seminary, a MTh from Newman Theological College, and a PhD in Divinity (NT) from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland).
In January 2015, I published my PhD thesis, entitled, The Fiery Holy Spirit: the Spirit’s Relationship with Judgment in Luke-Acts with the Journal of Pentecostal Theology Supplement Series. You can obtain a copy of my book through Eisenbrauns. If you’re interested in reading the abstract for my book, please see Thesis Abstract book.
In August 2015, I just self-published a devotional book on the gospels called, Journey with Jesus: 90 days in the Gospels. It follows a very similar pattern to my blog site, but it goes through one chapter of the gospels a day for 90 days, starting with Matthew 1 and ending with John 21. Every devotional is followed by a worksheet that includes questions and a prayer. Fillable worksheets are available on this site under Journey with Jesus Fillable Worksheets. It will soon be available on amazon.ca and amazon.com, as a paperback, Kindle, or e-book edition.
